Obituary



 Margaret (Maggie) Platt passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014.  Maggie will be fondly remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother. She is survived by her    daughters and son-in-law, Marcia and Dr. Eugene F. Willis, Melonie Erickson;  grandchildren, Mendy & Rob Eskew, Mimi & Jim Miller, Gene and Stephanie Willis III, David Willis, Micah Erickson, Lauren Erickson;  great-grandchildren,  Alexis Miller, Bridget Miller, Stella Jane Eskew, Harris Eskew, Tate Willis, Ryder Willis. She was predeceased by her husband, Marvin D. Platt.

 Margaret (Maggie) Platt passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014.  Maggie will be fondly remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother. She is survived by her    daughters and son-in-law, Marcia and Dr. Eugene F. Willis, Melonie Erickson;  grandchildren, Mendy & Rob Eskew, Mimi & Jim Miller, Gene and Stephanie Willis III, David Willis, Micah Erickson, Lauren Erickson;  great-grandchildren,  Alexis Miller, Bridget Miller, Stella Jane Eskew, Harris Eskew, Tate Willis, Ryder Willis. She was predeceased by her husband, Marvin D. Platt.



A lover of music being a lyric soprano vocalist, she sang with her Mt. Paran church choir and the Atlanta Choral Guild. As a longtime Atlanta resident, she was a 50 year member of the Atlanta Real Estate Board rising to Broker. Maggie was a devoted and faithful volunteer once a week for 20 years serving the Atlanta Union Mission with their My Sister’s House.



  The family will receive friends on Friday May 9, 2014 from 11:00AM to 1:00 PM with the funeral beginning at 1:00 PM at H. M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill.  Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
