Julia Grier Storey, 86, of Atlanta, GA, died Friday, January 26, 2017 of pulmonary aspiration at the home of her adopted family. Julie was the daughter of the late Rev. James and Julia Grier. Julia was married to Robert Story and Atlanta real estate lawyer, until his death in 2009. Survivors include her niece, Adele Greer, two nephews James and Bobby Grier, and her adopted family, Vickey Bolling and Destin Leidner. Julia Grier Storey, 86, of Atlanta, GA, died Friday, January 26, 2017 of pulmonary aspiration at the home of her adopted family. Julie was the daughter of the late Rev. James and Julia Grier. Julia was married to Robert Story and Atlanta real estate lawyer, until his death in 2009. Survivors include her niece, Adele Greer, two nephews James and Bobby Grier, and her adopted family, Vickey Bolling and Destin Leidner. Julia was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and spent her summers in Montreat, North Carolina. Julia was a graduate of Agnes Scott College, where she was active in basketball and other campus activities. Julie was an active member of the Republican Party, and attended many state conventions. She was a faithful member of the Peachtree Presbyterian Church, and formally of First Presbyterian Church. A graveside service will be held at Arlington Cemetery in Sandy Springs on Thursday, February 1, 2018 and a memorial service will be held at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in the Kellett Chapel, in Atlanta at 2:00 PM, with a reception to follow.
